The most delicious pizza in Atlanta and possibly anywhere!

by NYCfoodsnobinATL at Citysearch

My wife and I grew up eating great pizza in the NYC, Long Island, & Jersey Shore. We moved to Atlanta years ago and finding Bella Italia is a gift to us pizza snobs. Thin crispy crust, fresh ingredients, the perfect amount of sauce and cheese, delicious pizza sauce. In a strip mall in Marietta, don't let the unassuming location and décor fool you The Margarita w/fresh basil, fresh mozzarella & fresh tomatoes is amazing. Worth the drive from wherever you live if you want real NY style pizza.

Pros: Ridiculously delicious pizza, very family friendly

Cons: You're not paying extra for the decor (which is also a pro)

Big portions and family-friendly environment in Marietta.

In Short
Setting up shop at the end of a tiny strip mall center off Marietta Highway in East Cobb, Bella Italia combines ambitious Italian dishes with classic standards in an environment that reminds its patrons exactly what kind of joint it is. Teetering on (and sometimes falling over) the line of Italian parody, the menu has many hits and unfortunately, a few misses. The portabella stuffed ravioli is filled with earthy goodness, however it’s buried with a pound more of the ‘shrooms takes it from great, to a bit too much. Like the rest of the entrees, the brick-resembling portion of lasagna is substantial, so splitting an appetizer and a main should do it.

"Bella's Summer Pizza is the best"

November 13, 2009 - Likes it - I recently visited Sorrento Italy and enjoyed the flavors of the country. Your Summer Pizza is fabulous and comes closest to the flavor of the pizzas that I had traveling through out Italy. This pizza has become my favorite surpassing my all time favorite New York style pizza. The Summer Pizza is probably lighter in calories and the sauce is not so tomatoee. If you like a quality pizza then this one is for you. Enjoy the garlic!

"Glad we gave it a second chance..." by djevince
September 06, 2009 - Likes it - After a disappointing first try, we decided to give it a 2nd chance. We were greeted by the owner and told her we were giving it another chance. She and our waitress went out of their way to make sure we weren't disappointed. We ordered two different pizzas - they were excellent! Very crisp, thin and flavorful crust with plenty of toppings and cheese. The Deluxe was my favorite - roasted red peppers with a delicious variety of meats, mushrooms and slivered onions. Try the stuffed mushroom balls, they are unique and tasty! I'm thrilled to have finally found decent pizza in the East Cobb area. Hopefully, this place can make a good pizza consistenty. Next time we'll try the other dinner items.

"Wonderful!!" by Stacey Whitaker
September 02, 2009 - Likes it - We went with a group of about 10 people for my husband's 50th birthday. When we arrived they had blown up balloons and everyone came by to wish him happy birthday. In addition to the great service, the food was wonderful. Most of us had the this pizza - awesome. Very fresh ingredients. My husband had a create your own pasta dish that he loved. The sausage was made in house and wow, can you tell the difference. Tasty! The food is all fresh and prepared in house like a very high end Italian restaurant without the high end price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
